Introduction
Leaders of all ages are being asked to meet the expectations of at least five different generations in the workplace. Each generation has differing values, leadership styles and ideas of what their organisations should be focused on in order to achieve success.
With these complexities in mind, we wanted to hear from both the leaders themselves, and their employees, to establish how leaders are faring in response to an increasingly demanding work environment.
In turn, we conducted a survey of more than 1,700 employees including senior managers and executives, 250 business leaders and 500 HR professionals to better understand what outcomes leaders are focused on, how effectively they’re leading their organisations and whether their perception of themselves aligns with how they’re seen by their workforce.
