The organisational impact

The overall success of ‘Lead, Collaborate, Succeed’ has been evaluated through:

Participation feedback including the pre and post questionnaire
National Highways follow up sessions, 3 months after programme completion
The National Highways Employee Engagement Survey

94% of participants strongly agreed their facilitators were engaging and experts in their field

84% of participants strongly agreed the workshops had been an effective learning experience

All 1500 managers and leaders were supported within a 6-month timeframe, between October 2021 and April 2022. 36 workshops were delivered face-to-face and 48 virtually.

Participants were also asked before and after the workshops to reflect on their competency in a range of effective leadership traits and behaviours; with improvement cited across all key areas.

Lead Collaborate Succeed was a crucial programme, delivered at a time of significant change for our leaders. It resonated with our people, providing a safe and secure space for them to regroup after the pandemic, with lots of helpful learnings that were easy to understand and action straight away. We continue to build on the great foundations of the programme, reinforcing the positive cultural norms and behaviours we want to see across the business.

We’re delighted to have been named CIPD Best HR/L&D & OD Supplier 2023 at the 2023 CIPD People Management Awards, in recognition of the Lead, Collaborate, Succeed programme.

We are extremely proud of our Leadership Development offering, and the way in which we were able to respond to our client's needs in the wake of unprecedented challenges — most notably, the Covid-19 pandemic.

The team worked tirelessly to design and deliver an engaging solution that placed the overarching goals and ambition of National Highways at the heart of everything we did, and we're honoured to receive this award in recognition of the programme's impact.
